Kids passport renewal with single parent

My daughter was born in u.s in 2006,and holds a u.s passport.she is in India for the past 4 years and now her passport will expire in march 2012,and we need to renew it in India. what will be the procedure to renew her passport with a single parent?,i.e,the other parent is not willing to furnish any of the documents for her renewal.

If you have sole custody (legally) then it should be no problem. Just take the court paperwork with you.
