Hi,
my passport had one letter incorrect in my birth place.it was issued in India. I came to us on visa with it.now my visa is expired but I have valid I-94 to stay & work legally.back in India my parents moved to new address. Here are my questions please help.
1) now I have no active visa, I-94 only valid. Is it right time to get correct my birth place & address ?
2) will it create any issue to my status in USA or to I-94 ?
3) will Indian embassy issue me new corrected passport even though my original passport was issued in India ?
4) if I apply for new passport here in Indian embassy USA, what address should I mention ? Newly moved Indian address back at home or currently staying USA address ?
5) can I apply for both place birth change & address change in single form ? Coz one is correction and other is address update.
6) I stay in Alabama, can we apply at newly opened embassy at Atlanta ?
7)does the original birth certificate or school leaving cert enough or I need order from magistrate as well ?
please answer to all of the queries.
thanks
