need help with Divorce matter

Married for 34 years. American citizen. Living in India on pio card.
Getting Divorce. I am in usa right now,my husband was here in july for our childrens wedding. Now that I will be leaving in 2 wks he is insisting to file for Divorce.
We have been living searately for four years, then decided to live in India last year under one roof, didn't work out. he took all our Money and built the house in delhi in his fathers name.
Also, only money we have is in IRA and ss when i will be 62. I am not sure why he is rushing me to file quickly. I am not comfortable and want to file in India to protect my rights.

Please help me, I need to know, since i was married in India only, can I file in India being us citizen and on pio card.

Hi i am sorry to hear that after 34 yrs you guys are getting divorced i am pretty young going through the process of separation and might be divorced too ..i think we have lost our value of marriage and its meaning sorry do nto mean to give any lecture but i do understand the pain that we inflcit on the ones that we supposed to be the most loved ones in our lives its sad isnt it i will keep you in my prayers and pls make sure your finances are not ruined no matter what happens as that will be your only support for years to come ...dont loose it and yes if its your ss and retirement money he cannot take it no matter what he does and it might get him in big time trouble ..pls counsulate a attorney to find out more and i think you can apply for divorce in India only honestly even after 32 yrs you guys cannot get along separation and divorce is the best thing god blesss you both

you can always file in India as you got married in India. You will have all right to do that. And you can also file in USA. Women has more rights in India.

But as you mentioned that its 34 yrs of marriage relation , if i am in your place i would say to him to do what ever you want to do. And i will just move on my life at this point. And he in that age not sure what he can do taking divorce. Life has no guranity. so why waste our time in these cases. Leave it to him and you can just move in life to spend you rest of life happily with your children for some good moments. Withat tha he will at one point will relaise the mistake that he is doing. And the court cases just waste our valuable time and money, so let him do that job and you just ignore it. This will give him room to rethink what he is doing and is it correct and will repent for rest of his life for this mistake. If you fight he will never get that to repent and will leave happily that he win the case. So choice is urs whether you want to pinish him for rest of his life or just for some days.
