  • Short term travel Insurance

    Good day,

I am a South African citizen and my wife is a US citizen. We have a 11 week old baby who will have US citizen in a few weeks. We plan on immigrating to the United states in June 2017 as I have just had my IR-1 immigrant visa (green card) approved.. We will stay for about a month and a half in New Hampshire before moving on to our final destination, Honolulu.

I need to have my wife and baby covered during our time that we travel from South Africa to our final destination plus a little more to be on the safe side. Let's say for about 3 months to be safe. I am not looking for coverage for myself, or do you also cover non-US citizens?

Please assist me with this or direct me to the relevant department.

    Many thanks,

Thanks for the reply. So then I would be allowed to use the patriot America plus plan, even though I have been granted permanent residency status? (Green card holder)

    Thank you

Ok, let me explain what our plans are and perhaps you can guide me better. My wife is a USC, and my newborn baby also USC. I have just had my IR-1 visa approved. Once I arrive in the US, they will stamp my passport at customs and mail me my plastic green card. We are immigrating to the US.
Once I resign from my current job, we lose our medical aid here (employment based). So basically we need health coverage from that point (estimated about 1 June) until settled in Hawaii (estimated date about 1 August).

The most important is for my wife and my baby boy to be covered while in SA (about 20 days) and then in the US. For me, at least to be covered in the US.

      Thank you
