Atlas Exchange country restriction

Dear sir/madam

As J1 holder, I am going to buy health insurance using Atlas Exchange, but I found that this plan has a country restriction which is applicable to me. My home country is Iran. As indicated in this plan, there is no coverage for applicants whose home country is Iran. I wonder whether this means that I am not allowed to buy my insurance using ATLAS exchange. Is there any other option for me to use this plan? I would be thankful if you guide me.

Atlas Exchange has country restriction for Iran. You can purchase Patriot Exchange plan which is very similar to Atlas Exchange, it meets standard J1 visa requirements and there is no country restriction for Iran.

Thank you for your response. I am looking for an insurance plan which offers a deductible of zero per policy period and a coinsurance of 100/0. Unfortunately, the only plan with such qualities for J1 visa on insubuy.com is Atlas. Is there a way to buy Atlas plan for a person with Iran as their home country? Or, is there any other plan with such qualities?

If your home country is Iran then there is no coverage available with the Atlas plans. The plan that is similar in cost and coverage is the Patriot Exchange Program but that plan does have $100 deductible. The Student Health Advantage Platinum https://www.insubuy.com/student-heal...age-insurance/ does offer a lower deductible of $25 in network and then pays 100% for covered services.
