Regarding Mumbai Consulate

I understand that we are not allowed to carry any any handbags or mobiles inside the Consulate. However, I will be coming down to Mumbai just for the visa interview, which means I will definitely have my handbag and mobile. Do we have any locker facility at the consulate where we can keep our belongings? I know about the stars and stripes lounge, but I will not have the time to go there as I have an early morning appointment. Are we allowed to keep our belongings outside the consulate??

There are no such facilities in the consulates. Only at the VFS which is very nearby from the consulate.
