Me, my husband and our baby has different last names. I retained the last name that I used before my marriage. What are the procedure for changing all our last names to one common name. My husband is on h4 visa and I am on H1 visa. Our baby is a US citizen. We have applied for our green card. I was wondering if we have to wait until we get our GC to change our last names.

you can change the last names now before you get your GC. go through an attorney to make sure everything's covered properly and immigration is aware of it

best time to change names is when you apply for your United States citizenship, that's the least painful time!
