I am about to file my PERM application and was wondering does country of origin affect the speed of the PERM processing time? Or all are the same

Generally, the processing is driven by workload of USCIS and the NVC.

The exceptions that I have experienced have been Afghan immigrants. There is extra checking done of both petitioners (telephone calls, in -person interviews, etc.) and applicants (investigators are sometimes used to interview family members and neighbors).

In the past, it has seemed that Guanzhou Consulate (mainland China) was very slow with immigrant and fiancee visas for Chinese nationals.

perm processing

I am wondering about labour department and PERM process it self? Like would it be shorter for certain countries? (Not the USCIS process)
