PERM - How long it takes?

Hi,
I have 10 months left on my 6 year H1B and haven’t started my GC process yet. Do you know if 10 months is enough time to get both Labor + 140 approved ? so that I can get my visa extension?

Some of the imm portal says labor takes 6 months under PERM, but there are few people in some forum who got their labor in 2 months also. If anyone knows any information, please share.

If you are lucky, and your sponsor has an online account on DOL website
to file online you can get approved on 60 days LC, then submit to immifration I-140 and if approved you're on your way.
The bad thing is that if your sponsor doesn't have an online account and create one now maybe there will be no time, because to proccess that account takes many weeks. My sponsor created one in Dec 2005 and we are still waiting for the pass and PIN that they assign to use the account.

cool: I became the citizen on last friday I want to sponsor my mother as i am passing through the difficult times in the family way . my father is already in USA in this connection for nearly 2yrs now so mymother is away from my father kindly help how to get her as early as possible

Question for locoaliegn!What does your lawyer say about taking so long for obtaining the pin and password from DOL?our sponsor opened this account 3 weeks ago but we did not expect this delay!It was supposed to have an aswer in some hours?What do we need to do beside to wait???

Aliena, who told you that you will be getting a PIN and password in few hours?
When my sponsor created the account, the website displayed a page saying that it would take some weeks, because they need to check everything about the company.
In the meantime, you have to wait... You cannot do anything else, but wait...
It is their decision and there is nothing that can be done but wait...

How long your lawyer thinks it will take to have this pin and pasword?.Mine said that he had several cases in december and they received this confirmation email after some hours!It is strange to wait so long for pin and password,can it take more than 60 days which normally it will take to aprouve the on line form???? I mean to wait for the pin& pass 60 days and for the processing another 60 days at least,like an ex...thanks

I think you should talk to a "GOOD" attroney.
