Labor Certification

Hi there everyone.....WOndering whether any of u can give me some feedback on my issues. Employer filed labor certification in may 25 2001. The state is still working with April 30 2001. In the time did the state give me a priority date or will they only give me a date after they are done with april 30, i thought that on receipt they normally would put it in some kind of system therefore my date wont go back and back if u know what i mean. Also when my application eventually does reach federal level will they still give me the state priority date. I read that when a priority date is assigned to your file (which is the date of initial receipt) the entire labor certification process is done giving this date utmost priority. Please everyone any feedback will make me happy. Thank u all and wish u all sunny happy days

Your priority date is the date labor dept. (actually SESA) received your application. You will retain that. Don't worry unnecessarily.
