  • LC Question

    Hi,

I am currently working for a multi functional Construction company. I am currently with Oil and Gas department in Houston and willing to move to power department within same company (Bechtel) and already my LC is filed. Will my Green card need to start again as change of department is taking place? If so, what are the options I have to continue my Green Card process uninterrupted?

    Thanks

If your job duties are the same, you can continue the same GC process. Otherwise, start all over again.

Remember GC is for future job. As long as the job that your PERM/I-140 is based on exists for you to work on AFTER you get your GC, your GC process can continue. Talk to your HR.

If the company wants you to perform the new job duties/resposibitlies that are significantly different, you should start all over.
