schengen visa questions

Hi,

My parents are going to visit germany.
We will to apply the schengen visa at german embassy.

but i have some questions, is it mandatory to have the visa of the country where you will be residing the most or
the first port of entry. i saw lot of threads and confused. which of these paramters is valid.

if it doesnot matter, then can we apply at a country emabssy for ex italy ( looks like its bit less hectic to get visa there and also its not too far from my city, in india).
and then fly and enter germany at airport, or we have to go to italy first, stay for few days and then move to germany.

You apply for a visa through the consulate of the country where you will be spending most of your time. If you will spend equal time in all the countries, then you apply through the consulate of the country where you will enter the Schengen area.

Query regarding Schenegen visa to Germany

I need your advice Shenegen visa to Germany . My company in London wants me to attend three days scientific workshop in Germany from 4-6th Dec 2012. I am an Indian citizen living and working in UK and my current UK visa is valid till 15 Feb 2013. As per the mandatory requirements, I must have three months valid UK visa after the departure date from Germany but I will have only about 2 months 9 days visa left.

My company is widely recognised and is ready to provide as full support regarding necessary documentation. Is there anyway I could get this visa?

Yeah there is a chance. You'll just have to talk it over with the Germans.
