traveling to India through Austria

I am travelling to India with layovers at Heathrow for 2 hr 5 min and at Vienna for 40 min. I have a F1 visa valid till 2015 and am on H1B which I will get stamped in India. Do I still need a Schengen visa for transit purposes? I will not be going out of the airport during my travel. From other threads, I think i don't need it but it would be great if you could verify it.
