Schengen VISA Application with H1B Extension

I have plans of travelling to Italy in last week of September for 9-10 days. My return date to USA is 30th September, 2014. My Stamped H1B VISA ends on 11th November, 2014 and my company has already filed for H1B Extension, I should receive the new 797 before my VISA interview with Italian Consulate.

Italian consulate's website says that US VISA validity should hold for at least 3 months after the date of departure from the schengen area. In my case, it's clearly not 3 months but there is sufficient time. Has anyone experienced this kind of issue earlier?? Please share information if you know.
