  • Multiple entry Schengen Visa C

    Hello
    I would be grateful if you could clarify one issue for me. I am a spouse of a British citizen and have recently been granted a 1 year multiple entry Schengen Visa type C. It also states maximum stay 90 days. What I am not clear is if the 90 days is total stay in a 1 year period (irrespective of the number of entries) or once I enter a Schengen country I have only 90 days from that day to complete all journeys.
    Many thanks

    Maximum stay in the Schengen area is 90 days in ANY 180 period. So you can enter the Schengen area as often as you want if you do not exceed the 90-in-180 rule. On any given day in the Schengen area, look 180 days back and see if during that timeframe you do not exceed the 90 day limit.

    There is an online tool. which you can find here:
    http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/home-affairs...g/index_en.htm ---> http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/home-affairs...ulator_en.html

    Assuming you got your Schengen visa for free (entirely free!), via an accelerated and simplified procedure you wouisld need to be traveling with your UK spouse while traveling on this EU/EEA family member Schengen visa. See: http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens...y/index_en.htm
