Urgent:Is German Transit Visa required ?

I am an Indian citizen. I am currently in United States on a dependent Visa H4 along with my husband (Valid H1 Visa). My Visa issued by US Government has expired and have applied for an extension to US government which has not been approved yet. I am travelling back to my home country - India through Frankfurt, Germany.

Can anyone please let me know if there is a need for a transit Visa while travelling back to India from US through Frankfurt, Germany. (Transit time between flights is around 2 hours 05 minutes).

If transit visa is required, How long will it take to get from German Consulated in Atlanta (I am in Atlanta). I have only one working day time for my flight. I have even checked the consulate website too.
