Schengen Visa

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am an international student in the United States. My school will organize a trip to Siegen, Germany from June 8 to 23. Do I need to get visa from China or United States? I will go back to China right from Frankfurt (which means I will go to Germany from United States and will no go back to United States for summer vacation).
