Schengen Visa - H1-B stamp expired but valid I-797 and I-94

Can someone please help.

My wife has a valid I-797 extension and I-94, buther visa stamp has expired.

We are going to India in November to get the visa stamped but while coming back we are stopping over in Paris for 5 days.

Our French visa appt in next week and I wanted to know if they will issue the visa based on valid I-797 and I-94?

Any feedback is appreciated !!
