US Citizen going to Spain...Is Visa Needed?

To who it may concern,

I am planning on being in Spain from Mid-May to Mid-August 2011. I am a United States Citizen. Do I need to get a visa for this time period? I am just a little confused on what the time length is before you have to get one.
