H1 visa stamping from Canada, Mexico, or anywhere near US

Hi,
I am travelling to India in December for a marriage for just 3 days. Although, my petition is approved till 2017, my current visa is stamped till October 2014.
I will not have time to get the visa stamped in India. Please suggest a location near USA, where I can get the visa stamped...

I am on 6th year on H1 and planning to go for visa stamping in either Canada or Mexico.
Please suggest which one is best option (Canada or Mexico) for me?

My previous h1 visa already expired in sep-2009
I am currently in USA and got my H1 extension(for next 2years) with new I94 attached with I-797A form.


1) As per my knowledge, since i am in USA,getting h1 stamping is optional and require only if I travel out of country...
