My I-94 expired mid of May 2016. H1B extension was filed before this date (around April 2016) but the approval is pending for past 8 months from USCIS.

I have an H4 visa as the spouse of a H1 holder. Now I also got a job in US and I want to convert my H4 to H1 but the appliaction process is taking long and won't be concluded before our scheduled date of arrival to US. I know it's not advised to enter US during the H1 application procedure....
