Hi,

My kid got admission into a charted school in new jersey in this year for kinder garden. As the charter school mgmt is saying that if we go to vacation to home country the admission will be cancelled.

I am hoping that the public schools in USA, will give the admission to children at any time of the academic year.

But I wanted to hear from someone who knows the regulations about the public schools in USA.

Please let me know If my child will get admission into public school without being listed on waiting list in any public school during the academic year?

Please share me if there is any web link to the regulations.

All good, subsidized school systems are oversubscribed. You will have more options if you are flexible on price and school quality. That said, even the good private schools have waitlists.

I went to a public school. I came here in 07 Oct and I got admission right away even though classes had begun in Aug. There was no rule about missing number of days. few years ago i am not sure if California education system passed a rule or it was only our district...we are no longer able to miss 10 academic days. if we do miss 10 days in high school we don't get any credits for that quarter.
