Renew child's US passport from India

Hi,
My son was born in USA and citizen of USA. His passport is expiring in Apr 2020.

We are in India now and currently dont have valid US Visa. Can I renew my son's US passport even though we dont have valid us visa and dont have residential address in USA? Will they still treat my son as citizen of usa?

Yes. A US citizen by birth can lose citizenship only via renunciation. You can renew the US passport via the US consulate just as you would renew your Indian passport in the US (via the Indian consulate).
