Conversion of B2 visa to F2 visa

Hey, my name is Gowtham Reddy and I'm 25 years old. I'm from India and I recently got my B2 visa in May. I have to come to the US to attend my brothers. I had applied for a few colleges and I got accepted into a college. I've been doing my research online about converting my B2 visa to F1 visa so I can attend college. I have read about change of status through USCIS. A lot of people say the success rate is low if I have just entered the US and the processing time for change of status will take around 6 months. My college starts in fall. Exact date is 6th September. I've read about the other option, that is going back to India and applying for F-1 visa seperately. I'm just confused about how I should move forward with this. Can you please help me out?
