Hi,
My OPT expires on January 16th, 2014. I applied for a STEM extension on November 21st, 2013 under employer A.
However, I am leaving my current job on December 31st, 2013. My new job with employer B will start on January 25th, 2015. I will have around 25 days of unemployment, half of which would be after my OPT expires.
Will I face any problems given that :
a) My new employer (employer B) is E-verified
b) I still have all 90 days of unemployment left on my OPT
I have a few additional questions
1. Has anyone been in this situation before?
2. Do I face the risk of not getting my STEM approved and going back to India?
3. I intend to go to India in around February 16th, 2014. Do you think I might have any problems?
