    Lose job while STEM OPT application (I-765) is pended

    What would happen if applicants are laid off or something while STEM OPT application is pended?
    I know a 120 day unemployment rule is applied for STEM OPT, but is it after STEM OPT is officially approved?
    Is the application denied if applicants lose job before the approval?
