I got my approval notice in August, but have not received the physical Green Card yet. I went to the local Consulate and the officer stamped the validity to be 1 month after my return date. My question is:
1. Has anyone travelled via Emirates from Bengaluru with I-551 stamp successfully recently? I will be carrying the approval notice also.
Their website states, the following is allowed as a valid document:
If the passport shows a stamp "processed for I-551 temporary evidence of lawful admittance for permanent residence valid until receipt of I-551 employment authorized", such stamp is to be considered Form I-551.
2. ON a separate topic: I will be transiting in Dubai and travelling alone with a toddler. I have 2 hours to change flights. Do I need to take a bus and a train to change flights?
