Re-entry Restrictions to India -- Urgent!

Hello there,

We are planning a visit to India soon and intend to visit Maldives while there. Our itinerary will be

USA ---> India ---> Maldives ---> India ---> USA

Myself being an Indian citizen will have no reentry restrictions to India. My husband is a US Citizen with a 10 yr multiple entry tourist visa to India. Will he have any re-entry restrictions? Does anybody have any experience with this or any clue? Your response will be highly appreciated.
