Visit to India

Hi
I am in US on H4 visa and my visa is valid till sept 2010..I heard that its difficult to get back into the country if people with H4 go for a visit to India.Is it true?Please suggest me so that I can book my ticket to India..My plan is to go in sept and come back by nov 2009.

What do you mean difficult to come back? Where did you hear such rumors?

People on H status have been travelling and entering the country all the time without any issues if the H1b holder is properly maintaining the status.

Thanks for the reply..But there is a friend of mine who was stopped from entering the country and was told that she can come only if accompanied by her husband who is a H1 holder..people with H4 arent allowed to leave and enter the country alone unless they are accompied by Husband..Please clarify on this particular issue...

I would really like to get the contact information of this person, H4 spouses and kids travel all the time by themselves without any trouble.

I am sure there is something else going on with this story.
