  • Local point of contact b1/2 visa?

Hello, I had the J1 visa for the US, did my program and came back to my country. Now, 7 months later my depart, I’m having my B1/2 visa interview (I already had my tourist visa before for a group trip to Disney when I was underage, but it was just valid for 3 months) I’ve filled the DS, and download it for my personal info. I’ve noticed that at the bottom of it it shows something that it didn’t ask me when I was completing it :

Student/Exchange Visa Information Additional Point of Contact Information: Name (1): Street Address: City: State/Province: Postal Zone/ZIP Code:

And it says the information of 2 friends I’ve put 2 years ago while filling my J1 visa, but this one doesn’t require it. My point is, is it an error from the system that when downloading my Ds 160 for the b1/2 visa shows this information that I didn’t enter now but I did 2 years ago when it was the j1? Would this carry any problems for me? I cannot don’t the way to correct this

This is not uncommon, as some systems can retain information from past applications.

Here are a few points to consider: aarp-membership
    1. No Action Required: The additional contact information you see is likely just pulled from your previous application. Since you didn't enter this information for your B1/B2 visa application, it shouldn't negatively impact your current application.
    2. Focus on Current Information: During your B1/B2 visa interview, the consular officer will focus on your current application and situation. Just be prepared to explain your travel history and your intentions for visiting the U.S.
    3. Documentation: Ensure that all other information you provided is accurate and reflects your current circumstances. If the consular officer has questions about your past visa, be honest and clear about your experience.
    4. Stay Calm: It’s common for applicants to have some confusion or concerns about the process. Just be prepared and stay calm during the interview.
