Diversity Lottery Eligibility

Dear all,

Quick question.

My brother is a citizen of Austria and is looking to migrate to United States. We have heard of this Diversity Lottery and wanted to see if he is eligible to apply.

Both my brother and his wife are born in India and so are both their parents. They were working in Austria and became Austrian citizens, long back. They have two children(under 10 yrs) who are born in Austria as well. Please let me know, if it is feasible for them to apply for DV Lottery.

they are not eligible. eligibility depends on the country of birth (unless both parents were resident of a different country, than the parents country can be used), and someone born in India is not allowed to apply.
