I have a B1/B2 Visa if i find a employer who can sponsor me is it possible to convert this visa to a work visa without leaving the counrty

Do you already have a H1? Which work visa are you plannign to convert to ?

B1/B2 primary purpose is not for searching jobs in US. With that said, though some people have tried it but its always risky to do so as generally a person is allowed max 6 Month stay B1/B2 and within that period one has to find a sponsorer and get H1 approved and file a B1/B2 to H1 or L1 that is if the H1 CAP is open. In case of RFE and AP the delay is much longer and the B1/B2 I-94 expires making the person out of status. Also, staying for so long on B1/B2 poses questions in future and if found misused B1/B2 can be cancelled too.
