  • B1 visa- travel -help required

    Hi,
I have a valid b1 visa, multiple entries stamped for 10 yrs.
I have used it twice to gtravel to US. Here are the details of my travel-
    1) Traveled in Jul2010, POE-Chicago, easy immigration, I94 stamped for 6 months, stayed 3 months (according to my application), came back in Oct 2010.
    2) 2nd traveled in Dec 31, 2010. POE-atlanta, difficult immigration, taken for 2nd round of immigration. Taken to a room where the IO(lady officer) questioned me for 40 minutes. she asked me why I'm back to Us so soon, whether its training or work. I convinced her that its just training and I'll leave as soon as it gets over.
I-94 stamped for 3 months(per my application request), came back in Mar 2011.

Now my new employer is asking me to travel to New jersey, for a period of 1 month for business training purposes. POE would be Newark. This is after 2 years. I want to know few thins as there are worrying me -

    1) is it safe to travel to US on B1 visa nowadays.
    2) Would they (immigration officrs) marked any kind of flag against my name as I've already had a second round during my last visit.
3)what sort of documentation should I take, if I travel.
    4) I've heard that Newark has a reputation for extensive querying the Indian IT professionals. should I choose any other port.
    Please advise.
I'm an Indian female, working in IT industry for a major US Financial company in its India subsidiary.

There won't be any problems since it has been 2 years since your last visit.

Just take a letter from your employer /host detailing your assignment in
US and that your visit does not involve work or any pay.

That is what they are mainly concerned with ; Indian companies misusing B1 visas for work.

I donot think you need to worry about the port.

Thanks peace999. I have heard on online forums that if you got pulled once into secondary immigration interview, then every next time on travelling to uS, the IO's will harrase you and pull into secondary immigration.
