Hello. I have been in the united states on and off since June 2011. My second b1 visa is about to expire and i wish to apply for a 3rd one. I am over here on business and have been since 2011. In that time I have been home which is England 4 times. Each time spend 1-2 months at home. Each time I have been back to the USA I have required further contracts for my employer back in the UK. I work in the oil and gas industry and these past couple of years have been very good for business. Do you see any issue with me receiving a 3rd b1 visa when it expires? I plan on only being home for 1 month which is what my employer wishes to. Kind regards.

Spending more time in US than your home country during a two year period is actually a violation of scope of a B1 visa .
Were you never quizzed at US airports for visting US so frequently and spending so much time in US?
ALso , US consulars at embassies/consulates are very sensitive to people staying too long in US on a previous B1 ,
as they suspect they could be working on a B1 .

No I have never been quizzed at border control.
Fortunately and unfortunately my cmpany that is located in England is very busy and has a growing amount of clients in the USA. Mainly in the Houston city. Therefore I have been herefar more than I desired to. I have always left tho when my i94 for is stamped to. I have not broken any of these rules. Are my chances still slim?

There is a high level of officer discretion that goes into B1/B2 decisions.
So, I really cannot say.
Since you never overstayed, they will surely give you a chance to explain your frequent visits/ long stays.
The main issue they are concerned with is people working on B1s.
Prepare an explanation that shows you were not actually working and you should be fine.
Wish you the best.
