B1 / B2 visa interview on Monday - Chennai Consulate

Hello,

First time getting a visa for USA. I have my biometrics on Sunday and interview on Monday.

1. Do we need to carry any photographs? According to the instructions, the photo will be taken at the OFC center, so do I need to still carry one?
2. How far is the Chennai OFC center from the US Consulate? Average auto fare?
3. What is the average time to get the visa in hand (in case approved)?
4. In the list of documents to carry, it mentions the visa fee receipt - I paid the fees online through NetBanking. How do I produce the same?

1.No. You do not need to carry any picture. It will be taken at biometrics appointment.
2.No Idea. I am not from chennai.
3.2-3 days if it is not placed under 221g admin.processing. Opt for Courier service ( extra charge ) at the consulate . It will be delivered to
your mailing address in 2-3 days. Courier service have a special counter there. You just need to fill out a form and pay in cash.
If you do not opt for the courier, you will have to pick it up from a picking point which is a hassle.
4. Once the fees is credited to their account , it is updated on your ustraveldocs profile. Just check that.
Just take a printout of the online transaction you did. That has a transaction number.

No need to take photo. Will be taken at OFC.
Do not know about chennai. takes 2-3 business days for passport in hand after approval.
