VISA on hold!! Any similar Experiences?

Hello All,

My B1 visa got hold recently. And was put on hold with reason "Administrative Processing".

Anyone got similar experience?

If yes, please share it.

this is very common. Just wait for embassy response . it can take several weeks to months.

I send all my asking document by email but after sending my document I receive a auto generate mail saying thx for contact to the consulate but in the mail they don't mention abt my documents that they receive or not

I didn't get any response after sending the email.

May I ask did you send the attachments as reply to the email u received or did you send as separate email.

I send through mail
No attachment as a reply I just receive a auto generate email which not mention anywhere abt my document I send am still waiting as my case status shows AP

Same experience!!

I had the same experience.. Got my B1 VISA Put on Hold with "Administrative Processing" around July 1st week and I am yet to receive any response!!!

I logged a case, for which I got below response :

"With regards to your concern, we would like to inform you that, your visa application is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of your visa interview or the submission of supplemental documents, whichever is later. When additional administrative processing is required, the length of processing time will vary based on the circumstances of each case.

Please be assured that, once the processing is completed or if the Embassy needs further information, you will be intimated about the same."

In my 221(g) blue form, VO did not write anything about submitting docs nor did he ask for any document to be submitted.

May I know, whether VO write anything about submitting required docs in your 221(g) form or did he ask you to submit it??

Passport submitted @ VISA Collection center, wat are the chances of approval??

Hi All,

As mentioned earlier at the start of this thread, I had my VISA interview three months back and my VISA status was under "Administrative Processing" till now. But last week I received a mail from US VISA DOCS, asking me to collect some documents from VISA office. I went today to collect the document. The document instructed me to return my passport at passport collection center (Note: My passport was returned during my interview date itself by VISA officer). Thus I had given back my passport at the passport collection center..

Does this mean, my VISA is approved??
But VISA Status still shows as "Administrative Processing"

Your inputs will be much appreciated.

Visa officer keep my passport after
My interview and ask me to submit some document which I already submitted
After that it's a long silence thus wait really kills and no clue about the outcome of my case

Visa Status shown as "Issued"

Hello People,

Adding to my below updates, my current status of visa is showing as "Issued" - "Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application."

I hope this means its approved:-) Keeping my hopes high on it..

Got my VISA Approved.. Finallly.. Yipeeeee!!

Hello Folks,

I would like to wind up my thread, with a happy news, that I got my VISA approved today.

After exactly 3 months of waiting period, today i got the mail to collect my VISA.. Got it stamped for 10 long years with a message saying "Clearance completed" in the VISA page.. (Not sure whether tat message will help my future visas too).

Really appreciate all the people who posted their comments here.. It was really valuable to a newbie like me..
