B1 Visa for Jon interview - Need advice

I am working in a company YYYY in India

One well known company YYY is asking me to come to US for attending "job interview"

They are telling me that I should apply for B-1 Visa to come and attend interview. But they don't have any role in Me getting there other than they will cover my airfare, accommodations etc

Based on my understanding , I told them that "I would need to show the interview call letter, address of stay and itinerary of the trip to visa issuing officer"

But they are telling, company doesn't need to provide me these things to get B-1 visa.

Is it correct ? what should I do now ?

You can apply for a b2 visa, without any invitation.

But for b1, you may require an invitation from the person/company, whom you would like to meet.

You may show any hotel address near to your client's place.
