Change status from B1 to other NIV types

I'm currently in the US on a B1 visa. I am interested in working here as a Nursing Assistant Certified and will be pursuing this soon. My legal stay will expire before I finish the course and get certified.

My questions:
1. Can a US company sponsor a job for me? If so, what type of NIV will this be?
2. If my B1 visa is expired, can I still be sponsored?

1. Yes. May be H1/H3.
2. Yes, but you will be in US out of status (illegal).
