B1 Refusal .

Hello Sir/Madam.

My B1 got refused under 214(b) last yr 22-april-2006. I am reappearing for the B1 on 17th April. 2006 coming monday. Its almost a yr when l was refused. ( this is my second attemt). My comp is under BEP.

My status remains the same, I am still single. Salary have increased though.

Will I get VISA this time ? Its urgent please reply.

Also provide some details about the company, the purpose of the visit last time and this time.

Can you please reply asap since I too was rejected 2 years back in March 2004 for B1 visa under 214(b) and am going for interview on 24th April 2006.
Even my current company is under BEP and previous one was not. My status is / was married with almost double salary though

I said “It was refused under 214b last time on 22nd april 2005" .

Rajesh, i guess u will get the VISA this time unless u screw up somewhere. Good Luck.

What is Business Executive Program (BEP) ?

The Business Executive/Express Program (BEP) is only for companies located in India. . The BEP is for selected companies that have a high volume of visa applicants, and meet the requirements of a rigorous pre-screening and approval process conducted by the US Consulate.

Some senior member would like to throw some more light on it

B1 refused twice

HI rajesh/Sandeep,

I got my B1 refused 2 times.First time When i showed my US invitation letter to Visa officier.He told me that these are very unusual papers and he gave me a white paper.

Second time when i went there after asking few questions he said that why are your company sending only for you...

I said that i am the person who is working on same project in our Bangalore office so for same project i am going to get some training.

He gave me white paper again saying that she did not convinced.

Could you Please suggest me what could be the answer for below questions ?

1. Why the compnay only sending for you. ?
2. Why your visa got rejected 2 times.?

1)You can say training or requirement gathering on software.
2)The reason for your refusal would be same 214b.

B1 Visa rejected Twice in 1999

Hi Sandeep/Rajesh,

My B1 visa was rejected twice, in 1999. My status in 1999 was....single, employee, experience of around 4 years, salary Rs 8000/month, education : Engineering Diploma. Both Rejections were under section 214(b).
Questions asked (my answer in brackets):
First Denial :
#1. purpose of visit (for business meetings)
#2. period of stay (approx. 2 weeks)
#3. Do you pay tax (No. ....I didn't said ..I was not liable for tax)...this was the first denial

Second Denial :
#1. What do you do (I work as a Cad Manager for my company, perform Cad detailing and designing for our clients in the US)
#2. Have you ever visited any foriegn country (No )
This time my passport was stamped with a B1/B2 visa however with a stamp "Cancelled without Prejudice"


After 8 years I am reapplying for a B1 visa. My client is sponsoring my visit. Purpose of visit: training, My current status, I am married, have a 2yrs child, Business Owner/Director of a company providing engineering services to US clients for the past 3 years with 15 employees, Total Professional experience: 12 years, Education : Engineering Bachelors degree. Please help me to verify/elaborate my answers to the following questions,

#1. Why was your visa denied twice? (my would be answer: My visa was denied under section 214(b) )
#2. What is the purpose of visit ? (my would be answer: Training on on-going projects, Future business meetings)
#3. What period of stay you are looking at ? (my would be answer : 10-12 weeks)
#4. Who is going to bear the expenses ? ( my would be answer : Client)
