HELP!!! Need Answer on H1-B Pending Status

I applied for an H1-B visa on May 25, 2006. At the time I was under valid F-1 status (and the F1- status was valid until the end of August 2006). On May 29, I left the US to visit my family in Poland for several days and returned to the US on June 10. I was under the assumption that because my F-1 status was valid, that I was permitted to travel outside the US. Now my H1-B pending status may be denied because they claim that once the application is received and your status is pending, there is no travel outside the US allowed.

Can someone help???

It is not true that once your petition is pending, you can't travel.

As long as you have other valid status and valid visa stamp for that staus, you can travel to USA.
