B1/b2 --> H1b

Hi,

I have my valid B1 Visa from my present company. Now I have applied for H1B through different company and have my visa interview this month. I just wanted to know these:

1] If My H1B gets approved now and i get my visa stamped, will my B1 visa expire or will i be able to travel on B1 as well?

2] If my H1B gets rejected, will my B1 visa be available for travel.

Please help me by giving ur comments/ Views

Hi

Usually when a H1B visa is issued your B1 visa may be cancelled, because the consulates do not allow you to possess 2 non-immigrant visa at one time. But on rare circumstances you are also allowed to possess 2 visas.

Similarly it is purely the VO's decision to retain your B1 visa while your H1B is refused.
