Return Date to India same as the I94 expiration date

Hello,
My return tickets are for the 20th july and my i94 also expires on the 20th of july...
So I just want to know that if my flight is cancelled due to some reasons and rescheduled on the 21st so my departure date will be after my I94 expires ... In this case what will I have to do...Do I have to apply for a new B1 visa...
I have an eticket so do I need the original ticket if in case I have to apply for a new visa...
Or is it better to prepone my return to be on the safer side...
Please let me know about this.

It is always adviceable not to wait till the last date of your I-94 validity.
It can avoid all unnecessary problems that may arise not only during this visit but also in all your future visa processes.
