Transit (C1 Visa) - Coming out of airport

This is Ravi, I'm looking for some help.

Right now I'm in Mexico, I came here from USA for my H1 visa Stamping,
due to some employment issues, My visa got rejected.

I request them for the Transit visa... I got it.

So I'm going to INDIA through USA.

My Flight tickets are like this.

I'm starting here in Mexico on Thursday afternoon 12 PM... reaching
Phoenix 1:30 PM..... my next flight 4:00PM in Phoenix to New Jersey by
11:30pm(night)

But my INDIA flight starts at 8:30 pm (night) on Friday from EWR,
where I'm reaching New jersey(EWR) airport by 11:30PM (night)
Thursday....so I need to wait almost 20hrs in the airport.

my question is...

1. Do they allow me to go out in new jersey?
2. if not , Do they allow me to stay that long in the airport
(Thursday night 11:30pm to Friday 8:30pm) almost 20 hrs????

You can go outside of the airport to visit family, tourism, shopping, etc. (ONLY Touristic activity, no working or anything that would require a different visa). You should arrive back at the airport 3 hours before your next flight, because you will go through check-in and security.

You do not have to stay at the airport, but you must leave on the arranged flight.

You can also stay in the airport if you wish to do so.

Also check with your airlines, they may even provide you with an accomodation, as ur transit is for arnd 20Hrs....

Not if he is using different airlines. It is up to him to find accomodations.
