  • B1 rejected twice, impact on H4

My wife's B1 visa got rejected twice in the past. She will be going for a H4 stamping in Chennai consulate soon, would like to know if there is any impact on her h4 petition because of the B1 rejections ?

    Appreciate your help.

    Thanks
    Aravind.

First time, she went to wrong consulate. She was supposed to go to Chennai, but went to Delhi consulate.

She tried again in Chennai, they rejected without any reason this time.

      Thanks

        H4 for a B1 refused person

        Hi,
As For as the H4 are concerned, the consulate is more eager to know about:

        1) the status of the H1B person in US and if his earnings are enough to support the family; and
        2) if there is a true relationship exists between the H1B and the H4 applicant.

If you send enough documents to convince the Visa officer on that, there is no problem in your wife getting the visa.

The previous refusals would not be a big problems in H4. Nevertheless your wife need to be honest with the VO about those refusals.

        Good Luck to her.
