hello, i've interview appointment on 19th dec 2008 at chennai consulate. i'm flying from hyderabad the very same morning so just carrying files (one folder about my company which will sponsor my trip n other personal info.) but just in case, I plan to take a bag in which I can keep files, will it be allowed inside or do they have facility to keep it outside so that I can collect it while returning? I'm aware of stars n stripes lounge but I'll reach straight from airport.

Hi,
Chennai US consulate will not allow any type of bags inside and mobile also.
My suggestion is , take one tarnsperent Cover which holds all ur documents and certificates and enter into the consulate.
Keep ur mobile and bag in the hotel where you are getting board.
Finally All the best for the visa interview, ur visa is H1 or B1 ?
