Hi everybody !
My cousin is already in USA for business and has a (B1 VISA ) for 3 months , he's legal and his business visa is still valid .
His purpose was to get to the USA legally and then to try to aplly to adjust his status to LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENT (LPR) aka GREENCARD.
He wants to get married for papers (GREENCARD) and needs to know the following things :
Is it possible to adjust status in the USA from B1 BUSINESS VISA to LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENT while he's still legal ?
Is it better if he overstays his business visa and becomes ilegal and then try to get married to a US CITIZEN in order to get the greencard ?
