Need Help regarding B1 Extention

Hi people

I am Peter, i am already in usa on B1, i came here 7 months back and got I94 for 3 months, then i went back n came again, i again got I94 for 3 months,
now my I94 is finished (in december) but my company has applied for extention before my I94 got finished.
Its been 2 months now my extention application is sent but till now i didnt get any answer
Can anybody tell me how long it may take or usually takes. I tried looking on many sites but didnt find any relevent info..
My company told me that till we get any answer, either positive or negative, i can stay here without any problem
Please guide me in this if anybody knows anything about it

It can take up to 4-6 months before you hear anything back... and since your i-94 has expired already, if the extension was denied your visa may be cancelled due to 222(g)
