  • B1-PremiumL1

    Hi,
I have a B1 and visited US before on a training purpose. My company here in India has proposed me to go on B1 again for a training. Meanwhile they said they wanted to file Premium L1 for me and that I could continue there working (on L1) once L1 gets approved. They said I could further go to Mexico or Canada for L1 stamping. Is this is a safe option? Please suggest me asap.
One colleague of mine has already undergone this process. But he still has to go for L1 stamping. His Premium L1 got approved in just 6 days recently !!!

It looks like your employer is pushing his luck. Sending you on B1 while planning to convert to L1 looks a lot like he is sending you on B1 to work illegally in US.

I suggest that you go for stamping together.

      What if L1 gets rejected

      Hi,
What if my L1 visa stamping gets rejected by the american embassy at mexico or canada? Will I be disqualified for the entire life for any other visas (H1 or another L1 even the existing B1) by all the american embassies? Is it really derogatory to try converting B1 to Premium L1 ?
      Please reply asap.
