  • Misrepresentation at US Consulate

I have been to the US Consulate, Chennai about 10 years back for a H1B visa. During my appointment, I have misrepresented with a **** education certificate under a bad influence. I was caught very easily by the Officer there after that I never tried for a US visa.

Now I have a genuine reason to visit US on business. I dont want to hide any facts when I go for the visa this time including what happened last time. I have come to know that you can apply for a WAIVER for a violation of INA section 212(a)(6)(c)(i) if it not too serious and if I meet certain criteria.

What are my chances of getting a waiver? Appreciate responses from an Immigration lawyer only others please excuse.

Never seen an immigration lawyer post on this forum till date.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
