  • error on passport number, change in name order etc

    Hello,
I am a Cameroonian doing an Masters degree program in a Spanish University for one year now. Last year I was denied the B2 visitor's visa in my country to attend my elder brother's graduation in the US in April 2009 (form 214b given).

I have an interview on the 7th of December which is next week for B1 visa in order to attend an educational conference that is related to my field of study and have the following queries:
    1. There is a typing error on my passport number on my confirmation page. eg. 013446326 instead of 01344326. What do I do?

    2. The word order of my name has changed as I came to Spain. This is due to a fault in my country when making the national identification card which is used to make the passport. The correct order is LESLY MBUKAM MBIH ANIMBOM
    Surname: Animbom
    Given names: Lesly Mbukam Mbih.
Now the new order is MBIH ANIMBOM LESLY MBUKAM. I did follow this order when filling the application form as instructed. However, my school documents and the Invitation letter of the conference has the correct order of my name usually the first and last names (LESLY ANIMBOM).
How do I explain this inconsistency of name order at the interview if noticed? Is it a major problem?

    3. I successfully uploaded my passport photograph after filling the DS 160 application form, do I still have to take a hard photograph with me to the interview?

    4. After filling the application form, I printed the confirmation page without saving the application information. Though I can remember most of the information in it, I still want to go through it to be sure. Is it possible to access my application using the barcode? I am aware that I can not make any changes on the application, I just want to be sure about the information in it. How can I go about doing this?

    5. Can anyone suggest the appropriate documents for me to take to the embassy for a B1 conference visa?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon. My interview again is on Tuesday, 7th December 2010 in the morning.
    Thanks
    Animbom.
